Who you wanted to be when you were little? An astronaut, a popstar or your favorite superhero? I bet that most of you did not dream of being an accountant or a cashier when you were 4 or 5 years old. The career that you had planned for yourself seemed to be more exciting and fun than what you are doing now. What happened to your dreams? Well, life happened. As fun as those amazing careers sounded, when you were growing up, you realized that you need to find a real job that pays your bills because otherwise you will have a tough time surviving. Not the best scenario, but good enough, right? Sadly, most of us forget what we were so passionate about when we were little and when we faced a real world for the first time, it was almost like you had to choose and you chose something that is safe and secure.
It is not a bad thing, but those dreams of yours that you had or might still have, should not be forgotten. You should not forget the things you are passionate about, because nobody is making you to choose one thing or another. You might still be scared to turn your passion into your career, but at least do not forget about it. If you love painting, you might not become the greatest painter in the world and you do not have to. But paint for yourself, remember how fun it is to do what you love and you will see that you can find balance between this passion of yours and your work. And at some point, you might even want to make your exhibit in a local art gallery!
Not to get caught up into this routine, you need to make small effort every single day. And if you find some time to do something that you love and are passionate about, your will enjoy your life much more. You do not have to leave everything behind to get closer to your dream; you can always find balance between your passion and work.
