The L.A. County Fair first opened up in 1922 where it took place for five days and just two years later, the Home Arts building was constructed. The largest exhibit building in the world at the time was completed with an expenditure of $250,000, known as Expo Hall 4. During times of the Depression, attendance significantly dropped and in 1937, various buildings were added thanks to the government’s Works Progress Administration.
Some of the buildings were damaged during times of the World War II but they quickly bounced back as the fair reopened in 1948. There were additions of other landmarks such as the Flower & Garden Pavilion, Mexican Village, Clock Tower and a NHRA racetrack by 1952.The fare was even visited by Ronald Reagan and Pat Brown in 1966! Nowadays, the fair runs for almost a month and you too can be a part of it; just pick out a L.A. County Fair promo code to enjoy cheaper rates with them!
