History

In September, 1980, Sesame Street Live stated its inaugural journey with the production name “Missing Bird Mystery” staged at the Met Centre in Bloomington, Minnesota and produced by the VEE Corporation based in Minneapolis, United States. The VEE Corporation was founded by Vincent E. Egan. He teamed up with Jim Henson, an executive producer of “Children Television Workshop” and Muppets creator, to sign a long term deal to create exclusive and life-size replicas of the Sesame Street Muppets for touring stage shows.
