This water attraction place began in 1954 when industrialist Fred D. Coppock brought his dream of 14 years to life by building a $2 million aquarium in Miami. In 1955, the park opens their doors to the public with just three attractions which were the Top Deck Dolphin pool, Reef Tank and the Shark Channel. The park grew to be so much more over the years and not just in terms of providing attraction but also for the conservation of animals. Miami Seaquarium adopted albino porpoise, Carolina Snowball in 1962.
The park also gains popularity as the T.V. show called Flipper was filmed at Miami Seaquarium. Their list of achievements grew more and more as the first female baby manatee is conceived and born in captivity. Fastforward to the future, Miami Seaquarium had introduced a variety of other attractions and they continue to advocate the importance of sea life to everyone who visits them.
